La Parisienne avec Stampin’up! / The « Parisienne » race with Stampin’up!

Aujourd’hui, je vais vous raconter mon aventure vécue lors de la course « La Parisienne » à laquelle Stampin’up participe depuis maintenant 3 ans.

 

Today, I will tell you my adventure lived during the race « La Parisienne » in which Stampin’up has been participating for 3 years now.

 

Mais revenons quelques mois en arrière pour mieux comprendre …

But let’s go back a few months to  understand why it’s an adventure for me…

 

Mon amie Céline, m’a proposé que nous nous inscrivions ensemble à cette course à pied à travers Paris le second dimanche de septembre, grâce à Stampin’up qui est présent avec un stand . J’ai dit « oui » mais je n’avais pas imaginé que je la ferais en courant; en effet elle est accessible en courant ou en marchant. Je précise que je n’ai jamais couru de ma vie, même à l’école (j’étais dispensée !!).

 

My friend Céline, proposed that we join together to run this race through Paris on the second Sunday in September, thanks to Stampin’up who is present with a stand.

I said « yes » but I had not imagined that I would run it; in fact it is accessible by running or walking.

I have never run in my life, even at school (I was dispensed !!).

 

Mais peu à peu je me suis prise au jeu et j’ai décidé que puisque j’étais inscrite à une course à pied, il fallait la faire en courant…

But little by little I got hold of the game and I decided that since I was enrolled in a running, it was necessary to do it running …

 

Fin mai, j’ai donc commencé à me mettre à courir à mon rythme. J’ai commencé tranquillement et puis au fur et à mesure des entrainements, je suis passée de 15 minutes de course à une heure de course. les distances se sont donc progressivement allongées également. J’étais donc fin prête pour la course !

At the end of May, I began to run at my own pace.

I started quietly and then as the training progressed, I went from 15 minutes of racing to one hour of racing. the distances have  gradually lengthened as well. So I was ready for the race!

 

 

Cette course me tient à coeur, car au delà de la performance sportive; cette course est en partenariat avec La fondation pour la recherche médicale contre le cancer du sein.

 

This race is important to me, because beyond the sporting performance; this race is in partnership with The Foundation for Medical Research against Breast Cancer.

 

Une partie de notre inscription est reversée à cette fondation se qui permet de financer des projets de recherche pour lutter contre le cancer du sein.

A part of our enrollment is donated to this foundation which allows to fund research projects to fight against breast cancer.

 

Samedi 10 septembre c’est le jour J !  Saturday, September 10th is D-Day!

Laetitia (notre BDM France), nous a concocté un déguisement en raccord avec le thème de cette année: les Caraïbes.

Laetitia (our BDM France), has concocted a disguise in connection with the theme of this year: the Caribbean.

Nous étions 4 des Stamp’copines à y participer avec de gauche à droite: Stéphanie – Moi – Céline et Emilie.

We were 4 of my team Stamp’copines to participate from left to right: Stéphanie – Me – Céline and Emilie.

 

Maintenant que nous sommes prêtes, il faut y aller ! Pour celà nous passons par un sas d’attente. On fait quelques photos avant le départ.

Now that we are ready, we must go!

For this we go through a lock of waiting. We make some pictures before departure.

La ligne d’arrivée passée, j’avoue que j’ai du mal à retenir mes larmes tellement j’étais heureuse de l’avoir fait. c’est une petite fierté personnelle 🙂

The finish line passed, I confess that I find it difficult to hold back my tears so much I was happy to have done it.

Ce fut une expérience incroyable en ce qui me concerne, ma première course !

It was an incredible experience for me, my first race!

 

Le soir nous avons eu les résultats et je suis très contente de mes performances pour cette première:

In the evening we had the results and I am very happy with my performances for this first:

 

scratch: je suis 8953 ème sur 20580 participantes.

scratch: I am 8953 th out of 20580 participants.

Stampin’up: je suis 8ème sur plus de 60 inscrites avec un temps de 47 minutes et 28 secondes

Stampin’up: I’m 8th out of over 60 registered with a time of 47 minutes and 28 seconds

Classement entreprise: Stampin’up se classe 46 ème sur 346 entreprises présentent ( le classement se fait en calculant la moyenne des 11 premiers temps de chaque équipe, dont le mien hé hé).

Company ranking: Stampin’up ranks 46 th out of 346 companies (the ranking is done by calculating the average of the first 11 times of each team, including mine hey hey).
