livre d’or pour un mariage / Guestbook for a wedding

Aujourd’hui je vous montre une réalisation qui me tient à cœur, un livre d’or que j’ai réalisé à l’occasion d’un mariage à venir dans moins de 12 jours maintenant.

Today I show you a realization that is close to my heart, a guestbook that I realized on the occasion of a wedding to come in less than 12 days now.

Virginia m’avait demandé en début d’année de réaliser les faire-parts du mariage de son frère. le thème était argent – blanc. Comme il y avait un nombre raisonnable de faire-parts à préparer, je me suis amusée à leur faire de beaux faire parts avec pas mal de découpes à la big shot.

Virginia had asked me at the beginning of the year to realize the invitations of the marriage of his brother. The theme was silver – white.

As there was a reasonable number of invitations to be prepared, I had fun making them handsome with a lot of cuts to the big shot.

Les faire-parts ayant plu, Virginia m’a demandé si je pouvais faire le livre d’or, dans le même thème. Et c’est avec grand plaisir que j’ai accepté cette mission 🙂

The invitations had loved, Virginia asked me if I could make the guestbook, in the same theme.

Of course, I accepted this mission 🙂

La mariée aimant beaucoup l’argenté (et les papillons), j’ai trouvé un cuir épais  de cette couleur, ce qui a été ma base pour le livre d’or (même si je ne recommanderais pas la boutique car le cuir était difficile à travailler, et au final trop épais à mon goût… je préfère les cuirs plus souples 🙂 )

The bride loved the silver (and the butterflies) a lot; I found a thick leather of this color, which was my base for the guestbook (although I would not recommend the shop as the leather was difficult to work, and in the end too thick for my taste … I prefer the leathers more flexible :))

Je suis donc restée dans les mêmes tonalités que les faire parts, et aussi très simple, car je pense que c’est ce qui avaient plu aux futurs mariés.

I therefore remained in the same tones as the shares, and also very simple, because I think that this was what pleased the future married.

J’ai donc travaillé toutes les pages avec de la poudre à embosser Stampin’up argenté et j’ai mixé nos tampons avec ceux d’autres marques pour un bel effet harmonieux.

So I worked all the pages with Stampin’up silver embossing powder and I mixed our stamps with those of other brands for a nice harmonious effect.

Bien entendu, il fallait une page d’invitation à remplir ce bel écrin qui recevra de gentils mots.

Of course, it required a page of invitation to fill this beautiful case which will receive nice words and wishes.

Le frère de Virginia est venu le chercher hier soir, et il l’a apprécié, ce qui m’a fait énormément plaisir.

Virginia’s brother came to pick him up last night, and he enjoyed it, which made me very happy.

Je souhaite encore une fois aux futurs mariés tous mes vœux de bonheur pour cette belle aventure qui va bientôt commencer.

I wish once again to the married ones, all my best wishes for this beautiful adventure which will soon begin.
